The Delta State Information and Communication Technology – Youth Empowerment Programme (ICT-YEP) is an initiative by the Delta State Ministry of Science and Technology to equip young people with essential ICT skills for self-employment and career advancement.
Applications portal for online registration will open from Monday, November 4, 2024, and close on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at midnight.
Who is eligible to apply for the ICT-YEP 2024?
Applicants must:
- Be between 20 and 40 years old.
- Hold a minimum of an OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree (depending on the selected course).
- Be a Delta State indigene with a Certificate of Local Government Area of Origin.
- Have a National Identification Number (NIN) and Voter’s Card.
- Not be employed in the public (civil service) sector and able to commit fully to the training duration.
What courses are available in the ICT-YEP?
ICT-YEP offers three main tracks:
- Start-up Academy: Web Development, Back-End Development, UI/UX Design, and Mobile Development.
- ICT for Self-Employment: Home Security Design, Advanced Solar and Inverter Installation, and Computer Repairs.
- Digital Media Skills: Social Media Management, Video Editing, Motion Graphics, and Graphic Design.

Only shortlisted applicants will be invited for a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and, if successful, will proceed to an oral interview.
