Akwa Ibom State Bursary

His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State has approved the distribution of bursaries to assist Akwa Ibom State students in their academic journey.

The bursary payments is for the current academic session (2023/2024). Notwithstanding the economic constraints, the administration of Governor Eno will continue to prioritise education across all levels, with investments in school infrastructure and personnel development, as well as academic tools needed to make our students, competitive and motivated.

Requirements:

To be eligible for the Akwa Ibom State Bursary, the applying candidate must have the following below.

1) Valid Student registration Number

2) Student ID Card

3) Admission Letter

4) State of Origin

5) Last School Fee Receipt

6) Passport photo

How to Apply for Akwa Ibom State Bursary 2024

All qualified students in public tertiary institutions in Akwa Ibom State are to fill the form online as follows:

  1. Visit: https://bursary.akwaibomstate.gov.ng/candidate-register
  2. Fill the online application form to create an account
  3. After registration, login to complete your details and upload clear copies of the following items in either PDF or JPEG formats:
    • Student ID Card
    • Admission Letter
    • State of Origin
    • Last School Fee Receipt
    • passport photo
  4. Wait for verification and payment.

Note:

If you are yet to receive Verification Email, Log in to your account to request for a new verification link.

All payments will be paid to a valid bank account. Ensure that the name on your bank account matches the name on your school documents.

The application deadline is 30th April, 2024. Late application will NOT be accepted.

How do I get verified?

Once you have successfully completed the registration form and also, uploaded all required documents (these include; your school ID card, Admission Letter and last school fee payment receipt), your submissions will be validated against your institution records. For institutions with API infrastructure, the validation process will be immediate. Once succesfully validated, you will be credited.

How do I know my verification status?

You will receive SMS and email informing you of your validation status once you have successfully completed the registration form and upload the required documents.

How do I know when I will be paid?

You will be paid once you have been successful validated, you will also receive an SMS and email to this effect.
